You are looking for a new childcare provider and you have a ton of questions and a long list of things that you would like to get out of your childcare experience. You can rest assured that we can meet or exceed the checklist that you have. Below are some of the most common concerns that parents have when deciding on the best childcare environment for their child. Wecan check off the boxes for you.

Childcare licensing guarantees that childcare facilities meet health and safety standards. Any facility planning to offer childcare for more than two unrelated children needs to apply for childcare licensure and meet the requirements before providing services. If your childcare provider is licensed they are more likely to provide safe and quality care for your child. We are a licensed facility and the following are the requirements for all licensed childcare providers in the State of Kansas.
Social, Emotional and Behavioral Policies
for Licensed Child Care Facilities
Licensed childcare centers must have policies in place regarding guidance, positive instruction, supporting positive child behavior, and discipline and consequences. We have an integrative guidance and behavioral policy that will ensure every child in our care will get the best social, emotional and behavioral support no matter what the concern.
Health and Safety Regulations
for Licensed Child Care Facilities
Licensed childcare centers must meet very specific health and safety standards which are regulated and monitored by the state. If the minimum standards are not met, then a license will not be issued or may be revoked.
We comply with all state mandated regulations and all staff have taken the following training to ensure that the health and safety standards required by the state are met.
- Basic Child Development, including Supervision of Children
- Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect
- Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (including immunization)
- SIDS and Use of Safe Sleep Practices
- Administration of Medication
- Prevention and Response to Food Allergies
- Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma
- Emergency Preparedness and Response Planning
- Building and Physical Premise Safety
- Handling and Storage of Hazardous Materials and
Bio-contaminants - Precautions in Transporting Children

Prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
and Safe Sleep Practice Requirements
Licensed childcare facilities that care for children ages 0 to 2 years old must follow all safe sleep requirements at all times. We take infant safe sleep practices very seriously and have the best safe sleep policies in place to ensure your infant will be safe not only while sleeping, but also through-out the day. We discuss your child's sleep needs and daily routine prior to their first day and give you informative brochures and information to help ensure your infant will be safe throughout their day. Our staff has taken all required safe sleep and infant care courses which include:
- Prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Use of Safe Sleep Practices
- Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma

Importance of Early Childhood Development
Learning is extremely important for children in childcare, as this is where the children spend the majority of their day. The emotional, social and physical development of young children has a direct effect on their overall development and on the adult they will become. That is why understanding the need to invest in very young children is so important, so as to maximize their future well-being. We take the time to invest in the future of each child by providing a quality early childhood program. The quality of an early childhood program is dependent on the following key factors.
- Interpersonal interactions. ...
- Physical environment. ...
- Program support structure. ...
- Professional and stable provider workforce. ...
- Effective leadership. ...
- Age-appropriate curriculum. ...
- Comprehensive family engagement activities.
Rest assured that we cover all of the key factors with our program. For more information about our curriculum you can visit the "Program Details" page. For more information about our schedule you can visit our "Weekly Theme - Daily Schedule" page.
Not only is it important for a child to get an early childhood education but it is just as important to know whether or not your child is progressing and meeting their milestones. As a part of our integrative and informative program, the Brightwheel app not only allows me to give parent's up-to-the-minute updates on their child, but it also allows me to document and share each child's milestones as they meet them. It is a very important part of early childhood development for parents to be aware of and be informed about whether or not their child is meeting their milestones.
The best childcare providers not only take good care of the children in their care and provide a great program, but they also make sure to integrate the family to ensure that everyone is informed, active and satisfied with the childcare setting. Our program:
- Provides materials and resources (information about community- based programs, community mental health, child nutrition, physical fitness, food banks, Child Find, medical/dental resources) in away that is accessible to all families, including families with high needs.
- Offers opportunities for all families, including those from different backgrounds and communities, to get to know one another and work together for the benefit of the children in the program.
- Conducts an annual family survey to ask families for suggestions on how to improve the program and how the program can support families. The results from the survey are shared with families.
